About Young Soul Rebels
The group consists of several of the best young UK urban talent. This included Tinchy Stryder, Pixee Lott, N-Dubz, Chipmunk and others.

The track that they released is a take on All these things by the Killers which contains the line I got soul, but I'm not a soldier. That particular song was chosen after Coldplay, U2 and Take That joined the Killers to perform the song at the Brits after party which was hosted by War child.

Tinchy Stryder Says that he accepted the offer to be on the project as soon as he was asked. He believe that children being involved in war against their own choice is completely wrong. He also wished the single does well in order to raise both money and awareness for the charity and its cause. It is estimated that there are 300,000 children in this position around the world. Tinchy has had two UK number one singles of which Number 1 is included. He recorded this with N-Dubz who is also in the Young Soul Rebel.

N-Dubz is also featured in Young soul rebels. He is a MOBO award winner from London, United Kingdom. He has had previous chart success and has had, to date in 2009, three top 40 hits and his d├ębut album Uncle B peaked at number eleven. N-Dubz has had much success performing with other artists and has performed with Tinchy Stryder in the past.

Other Artists making up the Young Soul Rebels have had chart success as well such as Pixee Lott and Chipmunk, giving the line up a great chance of success with the single.

The single was released in October 2009 and all Profits were donated to the War child charity. There are also T-shirts available bearing the message I got soul.

The video for the single is set in the recording studio where the track was recorded. It also shows images of children who are in poverty and affected by war. It also flashes the War child logo and the CD cover-work.

There were 14 different artists and groups that took part in the recording of which the London community gospel choir is included. Founded in 1982, the choir is recognised as the real founders of gospel music. Although only intended for a one off concert, the group is now performing worldwide and has around 35 members. This has inspired a new generation of music and took the brave step of bringing the genre into the church.

Although it never made it to number one, I got soul achieved number 19 in the Irish singles charts, tenth in the UK singles charts and managed fifth in the UK R&B charts.
