About Just Jack
Allsopp grew up in
London, being immersed
in House, Electro and
hip hop music from an
early age. He started
DJing around 15 and was
soon involved in the UK
Garage and DJ culture.
Before becoming a well
known music artist,
Allsopp completed a
degree in furniture
design from Kingston
University. He signed up
for a community music
production course, and
did several day jobs
while working on his
music, jobs ranging from
Flower Arranger to
Cleaner.
Success found Jack when
he happened to hand over
his demo to Chas Smith,
owner of RGR Records.
Smith offered to sign
Jack to his label for a
four album contract and
in 2002, Jack’s debut
album, The Outer Marker
was released. Paradise,
Triple Tone Eyes and
Snowflakes are the
singles from The Outer
Marker. The Outer Marker
is a collection of songs
with a strong theme of
the pressures of modern
life and relationships.
His acute observation
and inimitable writing
style results in Jack’s
signature style lyrics.
With a unique blend of
Hip Hop, Electro, House
with his own twist,
Allsopp’s music soon
became a popular club
sound.
In 2007, Allsopp
performed on BBC 2s
Later...With Jools
Holland. He also
performed on Channel 4s
The Friday Night Project
with his single Starz in
their Eyes. Starz.. was
a big success and peaked
at #2 on UK singles
Chart. The track was
also featured on Dolce
and Gabbana 2008 Summer

studio album Overtones
was released in January
2007 under the Mercury
Records label. The album
is a predominantly Hip
Hop and House sound. The
album spawned the
singles Starz in Their
Eyes, Writers Block and
Glory Days which were
all a success. Kylie
Minogue collaborated
with Jack on the album
on I Talk Too Much for
the American release of
Overtones.
Allsopp has had several
live performances
including the
Glastonbury Festival and
T4 on the Beach in 2007,
and the Glastonbury
Festival again in 2009.
Just Jack’s third studio
album All Night Cinema
released in August 2009,
to good reviews. The
album is said to have
Allsopp at his
understated yet creative
best. Embers and The Day
I Died, singles from All
Night Cinema have been a
success, both making it
to top 20 on the UK
